Can I use PhycoHealth products if I have rosacea?
🌿 PhycoHealth & Rosacea Care 🌿
Many of our customers with rosacea report positive experiences! But because every skin is unique, we recommend starting gently and always doing a patch test first.
-
Genetics (it can run in families)
-
Overactive immune/inflammatory response
-
Skin microbiome imbalances (Demodex mites may play a role)
-
Environmental triggers: UV, heat, spicy foods, alcohol, stress
-
A weakened skin barrier making skin more sensitive
-
Hormonal shifts, including perimenopause and menopause, which can increase facial flushing and skin sensitivity
-
BiomBalance Serum → deeply hydrating and free from essential oils, great for layering under moisturiser on sensitive skin
-
Light Day Cream → fragrance-free and essential oil–free, ideal for a lightweight moisturiser for sensitive or reactive skin
-
Nourish Cream → ideal if your skin is dry + rosacea, and not overly reactive, delivering deep hydration and barrier support
-
Shield → contains non-nano zinc oxide for mineral sun protection, which may help calm redness and protect against rosacea triggers like UV
🧪 Note on ingredients: Nourish contains essential oils including lavender and rosemary in very low amounts. While many people with rosacea use Nourish successfully, some with extremely sensitive or reactive skin may prefer to start with our essential oil–free options like Light Day Cream or BiomBalance Serum. Always patch test if you have known sensitivities.
🍃 Support from within: Our gut-supporting SeaFibre and Phybre supplements feature Phychondrin™ — a unique seaweed extract clinically tested to reduce inflammatory markers associated with psoriasis. While rosacea wasn’t part of the trial, both conditions share immune-related inflammation, so these products may offer supportive benefits. SeaFibre Cal also provides marine calcium, which supports overall skin and immune function.
💡 Tip: Introduce one new product at a time. Less is more when caring for sensitive skin.
