Product Information

Our gut microbiomes are complex ecosystems, much like rainforest soils, and host many different types of bacteria. The problem with the modern diet is that it is often deficient in important foods, primarily fibres and phenolic compounds from plants. Importantly, you should supply the microbiome diversity in your gut with a diversity of dietary fibres, because different bacteria prefer different types of fibre. Therefore, a combination of dietary fire is as important, and more effective, in maintaining a good gut balance. Our research has shown just how beneficial our Seafibre can be in your diet.

Lovely to add to Smoothies

I love adding Phybre to my smoothies for an extra boost of fibre in the morning, it is also great in porridge and adds a lovely creaminess to it. Highly recommend!

Green banana and seaweed powder

Gas bomb, gas bomb watcha gonna do, gotta be careful that you don’t just pooh!! 😅

Really though I’ve only been using it for 10 days and I am noticing a difference.

I’ve also been exercising some more and decreased my portion size for each meal so overall the combination is working.

The wife has also been sleeping in the spare room 😅

Contact me again in a couple of months and I’ll be able to give you some more definitive feedback.

Great to hear about the improvements Gray! With the gassiness, do try to build up the amount you are taking slowly, from maybe just a teaspoon a day and up to the full amount over a few weeks. This is to help your gut bacteria gradually adjust to the increased fibre so you won't have as much bloating and gas. These temporary side-effects should go away though after a couple weeks when your gut flora balances and adjusts. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Fibre Plus

Fibre is difficult for me to digest as I have Diverticuliti and this is a way I can boost my fibre intake as well as the starches to help balance my gut. Love it.

Very happy to be able to add the nutrients from seaweed combined with the fibre from green bananas into my diet. With medically-diagnosed IBS it is hard to eat enough fibre but I can safely eat green bananas and new research into FODMAPS, as recently blogged by Pia, shows green seaweed is low in FODMAPs. So I can continue to use this product in a greater quantity. Before, I was using it only on days when I didn't go to work because I wasn't sure if the SeaFibre was low FODMAP or not.
