SeaFibre-CAL™ is our propriety seaweed extract, SeaFibre, blended carefully with our new marine calcium ingredient from Sydney Rock oyster shells, a valuable by-product from our local Sydney Rock Oyster farmers. Formulated and dosed in capsule form to deliver 2.7g per day in 4 capsules.

Product Information

Taking SeaFibre™ is an easy way to increase and diversify your fibre intake to help you promote a healthy, happy gut, as shown in the research from our clinical studies and as featured in the Clever Guts Diet by Dr. Michael Mosley.

In our studies, however, we found that many participants were deficient in their daily intake of Calcium, with levels only at about 27 - 50% of the recommended daily intake of at least 1000mg, across participants. This is why we have taken a step further in our supplements range to introduce marine calcium alongside SeaFibre™.

As well as Calcium, our unique glycan SeaFibre™ is naturally rich in two other important marine minerals - Magnesium and Boron. These three minerals, alongside Vitamin D, have been shown to work closely together for optimum mineral absorption and reduced loss of bone density. Further, they are also important for skin health and sex hormones testosterone and oestrogen.

Because our seaweed extract is naturally rich in Magnesium and Boron, our formulation with marine calcium carbonate from Sydney Rock Oyster Shells gets the blend right, and will support over 25% of your recommended daily intake of Calcium, and about 15-20% of your recommended daily intake of Magnesium and Boron.

Ingredients

Each jar contains 90g of capsules, each with 0.5g soluble, sulphated-glycan fibre as well as Magnesium and Boron from Sea lettuce (Ulva sp. 84) and 170mg Calcium carbonate (96%) from Sydney Rock Oyster Shell (Saccostrea glomerata).

How to use

Take 2.7g in 4 capsules daily, with food and plenty of water. If you are sensitive to a sudden increase in fibre intake then it can be useful to start with 2 capsules daily and after a week or two, increase to 4 capsules daily.

Thank you

After years of gut issues, plus osteoporosis, I find your SEAFIBRE-CAL really beneficial, in combination with more water and more fermented foods.

I’d love you to put quantity on the packs/jars so I can calculate when I need more.

Thanks for an amazing product and for always being so friendly and helpful! Katy

Thanks for your review Katy!
That's great to hear that SeaFibre-CAL has helped you with your gut and bone health! Our SeaFibre-CAL product is based on weight rather than number of capsules, with 90g in each Jar or Refill Sachet. We do find that there are approx. 140 capsules in each. At the recommended serving of 4 capsules per day, the Jar/Sachet should last a bit longer than a month.
All the best from the PhycoHealth Team

I can't imagine how you can obtain equivalent or better nutrition from land agriculture than selected seaweed. Some certified organics would come close and I do use them. But to supplement with your seaweed gives me an added benefit straight from nature and rich in vitamins and minerals that I believe keeps me disease free and healthy in my old age. Also, with the highly uncertain world we now live in, I believe it prudent to store up on your long life nutritional products to hold self and family over in the event a a food shortage brought on by wars and/or catastrophic climate events.

Thanks for sharing your experience Irene!

Seafibre-Cal can work in two ways. First it could be a solution to a critical missing gap in your diet. If you are already starting to get symptoms from deficiencies of fibre, calcium or magnesium, you may notice an improvement in the short term. In clinical trials, our SeaFibre extract lowered cholesterol, reduced inflammatory markers in the blood and improved the gut microbiome for better gut function. The inflammation fighting property of the SeaFibre can be particularly helpful for inflammatory diseases like psoriasis and arthritis. In clinical studies for inflammation we helped about 60% of people noticeably, and some of them radically within months.

The second way is long term. SeaFibre-CAL supports adequate intake of nutrients for lifelong maintenance, if these are not regular features of your diet. For example, if you don't get regular calcium or magnesium intake for bone heath throughout life, or if you want to maintain better high fibre gut function.

But you might be healthy enough with a diet that covers all these bases. You only need to supplement when you don't get enough through your personal diet - although because the modern western diet does not contain a lot of seaweed or fibre, our supplements do provide a crucial missing dietary link for many people.

We hope this was helpful!
