Too soon to tell.
I haven’t been taking these long enough to comment on their effectiveness. I am finding them difficult to take as I can’t swallow pills so must break them open and mix with liquid. They are VERY strong which makes them horrible to take in anything plus they turn to a gel if you mix in anything but hot liquid. I can’t swallow them when they turn to gel.
I can say that the delivery was flawless and the customer reps are wonderfully helpful. Hoping I can find a way to make these palatable enough so I can give them a real try.
Hi Laura! We are sorry to hear that the SeaFibre-3 capsules were hard for you to take because of the taste. It is actually not our SeaFibre extract that has this 'fishy' flavour, it is the algal omega 3 that is blended with the SeaFibre in these capsules that is overpowering for some people. We also have 3 other SeaFibre products without the algal Omega-3 and therefore without the "fishy" smell/taste.
Essentially, the main ingredient in all of our SeaFibre products is our SeaFibre seaweed glycan extract, which has been shown in clinical trials to reduce inflammation, promote healthy bacterial populations in the gut, and reduce cholesterol, and a number of customers anecdotally report that they have experienced improvements across a variety of different gut and inflammation issues. Each of the supplements in capsules contain the same amount of SeaFibre with a different added ingredient in each: Algal Omega-3, Calcium carbonate, or Fucoidan (another seaweed extract from a brown seaweed Wakame). Phybre also contains SeaFibre but in a scoop-able powder form along with two forms of resistant starch from brown basmati and green banana to increase fibre diversity. If you can only take these as a liquid, I would recommend SeaFibre-Fucoidan as it will have a mild flavour, and mixing it with boiling water and letting it cool before drinking will work best to dissolve the seaweed extracts. If you can drink thicker liquids, then Phybre could be a great option as it provides increased fibre diversity and also has a very mild taste, best mixed into a smoothie.
I hope this helps, and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
All the best - Felicia
