Product Information

Your gut is one of the most important organs in the body and you can keep it happy with our flagship Seafibre-3 concentrated seaweed fibre capsules. As featured in the Clever Guts Diet book, in 2 clinical trials our unique Sea-Fibre extract improved the gut microbiome, reduced inflammatory markers in the blood and even helped the symptoms of people with inflammatory disease. It was their missing link to better health and maybe it is yours too.

In this formulation, we’ve added DHA rich algal Omega-3 for extra inflammation-fighting punch.

Ingredients

Each vegetarian capsule contains 0.5g soluble, sulfated-glycan fibre from Ulva sp. 84, 15mg algal DHA (Schizochytrium sp.), mandarin powder.

How to use

Take 2g in 4 capsules daily with food and plenty of water. If you are sensitive to a sudden increase in fibre intake then it can be useful to start with 2 capsules daily and after a week or two, increase to 4 capsules daily.

A Great Product!!!

What drew me to this product in short - the Omega 3 from fish originally comes from a plant source like seaweed. Fish eat the seaweed and their bodies are saturated with Omega-3s

So, why not go directly to the source :)

The other factor is that this seafibre format has a much longer shelf life - most fish-derived oils and capsules go rancid very quickly and are often useless by the time you consume them.

Not so with this product !!!

Promotes satiety

I’ve been taking this for several weeks now and it’s impossible to track individual supplements to certain outcomes, though the research on the benefits of seaweed are clear so I’m pretty confident it’s been a health boost. What I can say is that it does have an effect of making me feel fuller, so if I take it in the late afternoon I do notice that I am fuller at dinner and eat less. Overall I have definitely lost body fat - I am sure that these supplements are part of this! Also my digestion has never been better.

As a peri menopausal ADHDer this is a fantastic product to add omega 3's among other things to my diet. There are so many health benefits to taking seafibre- 3.

Premature review-maybe too early to tell

I haven’t been taking this for long enough to really gauge a real difference in how I feel. Often there are subtle changes that take a while to register. I would like to say that I find the smell of the capsules quite strong and they do repeat on me…not so pleasant. Having said that I am persevering as I’ve had a lot worse tinctures and survived. Hopefully they are doing the job!

Hi Sue! We are sorry to hear that the SeaFibre-3 capsules were hard for you to take because of the taste. It is actually not our SeaFibre extract that has this 'fishy' flavour, it is the algal omega 3 that is blended with the SeaFibre in these capsules that is overpowering for some people. We have started including mandarin powder in SeaFibre-3 to mask this aroma, so with your next order of SeaFibre-3 this should have improved. We also have 3 other SeaFibre products without the algal Omega-3 and therefore without the "fishy" smell.

Essentially, the main ingredient in all of our SeaFibre products is our SeaFibre seaweed glycan extract. Each of the supplements in capsules contain the same amount of SeaFibre with a different added ingredient in each: Algal Omega-3, Calcium carbonate, or Fucoidan (another seaweed extract from the brown seaweed Wakame). Phybre also contains SeaFibre but in a scoop-able powder form along with two forms of resistant starch from brown basmati and green banana to increase fibre diversity.
